Nitro Química and Votorantim Metals sponsored the renovation of the São Miguel Arcanjo chapel in the neighborhood of São Miguel Paulista, eastern zone of São Paulo.
On top of being considered one of the most beautiful Catholic churches in Brazil, the building has enormous historical value. Experts suggest that José de Anchieta built a chapel in 1560 in the same location. This is also the first site of Brazilian historical heritage to have been listed for preservation by Iphan (the Brazilian Institute for National Artistic and Historical Heritage), in the 1930's.
