To face the challenge of the world's accelerated transformations, Nitro Química invested heavily in technology, management, the environment and social responsibility, acting in a globally interconnected economic horizon. The company stopped producing viscose in order to prioritize  the areas specifically related to chemicals, particularly nitrocellulose, hydrofluoric acid and sulfuric acid.

More than US$ 80 million was used to acquire and develop technology, positioning Nitro Química as the most modern nitrocellulose production facility in the world.
